Post with images won't publish

    I’m able to save posts with no images absolutely fine but when I try to add an image either in the visual editor or using HTML I get this error…

    Forbidden
You don't have permission to access /wp-admin/post.php on this server.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

    I’ve found various ‘solutions’ on the forums but none of them work for me and none address the specific issue of posts submitting fine unless an image is included. Does anyone have any other ideas?

    Disable all plugins and revert back to default theme and see if it works.

    I’ve tried reverting to the default theme and also deactivated all plugins and still get the same error. Does anyone have any other ideas? I’m afraid this is a clients site so I’m not sure exactly when this started happening or what might have triggered it so I’m not sure where to start looking so any help would be appreciated!

    Can you please provide a URL?

    Can the problem possibly be an error in your HTML code?

    I’ve added images in the posts in the blog I created for a friend. Please take a look at Angry White Male. Scroll down — there are images in the first two posts.

    Is this what you’re trying to do?

    If it is, we can compare your code to mine, and see if there’s an error in your HTML.

    I’m pretty sure there’s nothing wrong with the HTML code I’m using in the post. For example if I have this in the post area…

    Test

    It publishes fine. But as soon as I put…

    Test <img src=”IMAGE URL” alt=”Test” />

    It won’t publish. I can’t give you a URL as the posts won’t publish. The site is live at http://www.chrisduckenfield.com. As you can see there are old posts with images so it used to work fine but I’m guessing at some point since an update it’s stopped working with images in the post.

    I’ve since found out that it was the hosting companies issue. I did a test install on another server and it all worked fine. We contacted the clients hosting company and they fixed it. Annoyingly they didn’t tell us how though.
