• Since my site went live over the weekend, I’ve noticed that under Posts -> All Posts, the values in the Views column against each post don’t appear to be updating – what might be causing this?

I’m running the DivTag Newspaper theme with the following plugins:

    • Akismet Anti-Spam
    • All-in-One WP Migration
    • Contact Form 7
    • Font Awesome 4 Menus
    • Redirection
    • Resize Image After Upload
    • tagDiv Social Counter
    • WP Clone by WP Academy
    • WP User Avatar
    • WPBakery Visual Composer
    • Yoast SEO

I’ve looked at the Ajax View Count options within the Newspaper Theme Panel and read up on how this works, but this seems to replace the classic Post View Count functionality (and I don’t know whether I’m using any caching pluigns – I think not – to make this useful/necessary), so I’m not sure what’s going on.

I know I can use Google Analytics to get pageview information, but it would eb nice to see the post views directly on the All Posts listing as well.

Can anyone help me with this? Just let me know if you need more information to be able to advise.

  • Hello!

This is a theme related issue, since the counting system is provided by the theme, so it’s better if you ask them directly, since it’s a Premium theme with dedicated support, which you also paid for.

    Here’s their support forum – https://forum.tagdiv.com/

Oh ok – I didn’t realise it was theme-based functionality, as the theme help regarding the Ajax View Count (which I do not have enabled) specifically talks about “the default(classic) post counter“, which I thought was referring to some standard WP functionality.
