Post Type Read More button text visible on editing but not on site

Hi!

I’ having a problem to show the text I want to show in the Read More button of the Post Type Gutentor block. I change the text for the button and it appears ok on editing, but not on the public website.

I clear all caches in case, and test it from different browsers and devices, but it didn’t work. I’ve tried with other similar non Gutentor blocks and they work properly. But I want to use Gutentor, of course 🙂

Could you help me?

P.S: The hole website is updated to the last version (core, theme, plugins…).

Hello @teresaezc ,

It seems like you tried to change the text from the Editor, can you please try to change it from the sidebar inspector setting, there is a section for the Read More button. Let me know if this works.

No, I changed it from the Gutentor block sidebar settings. But It didn’t work…

When I checked on my end it is visible on the front end too. It seems like it is visible on your site page newsletter.

You can see the button, but with the «Read More» text, not with the «Leer más» text I put in the block sidebar settings (see screenshots).

I don’t know why it doesn’t work. Anyway, it should respect the website language (Spanish) for defualt texts, but it neither does it.

It is strange when I try to change the text it is working on my end.

Gutentor version : 3.2.0

There may be other settings that are affecting the Post Type Block. Can you please export block and send the JSON download link.

Hello @teresaezc ,

I again checked after importing it but did not find the issue. I think something else is causing the issue. Can you please check on that? Also, if you are using the plugin on other sites, do they have the same issue?
