Post type per page

  • Hello. I’m somewhat new to WordPress. My site has many different pages: one for photo galleries, one for videos, one for upcoming events etc. My main question is, how do I specify on a page what type of posts will be shown? I can’t be having events and whatnot show up in photos and whatnot.

Sorry if this is entry level stuff, I just need to learn it!

What theme are you using? Where did you download it from? Are you using post formats?

I’m currently using a free theme called “healthcare”. I have a theme a colleague paid for, but it is having issues and I can’t get ahold of the developers.

Healthcare was downloaded from the wordpress theme archive.

As far as “post formats” how do you mean? I have a category of photos, which is a child of media. I just need for my “Photo Gallery” page to display only the photo category.

There is no theme called Healthcare in http://wordpress.org/extend/themes/ There is, however, a non-WPORG theme of that name available via http://smthemes.com/healthcare/

If you are using this theme, you need to seek support from the theme’s developers – paid or otherwise. We only support themes downloaded from wordpress.org here.

I have changed the theme to Twenty Eleven, I was unaware of the differences between WP and NonWP themes.

Do you still have a problem?

Yes it is still an issue. Thanks. I’ll be using the twenty eleven theme. I only have it set for the other until I can learn to set posts per page
