After updating the plugin and this plugin only, my site was unaccessible in the backend and not rendering live. A white screen displaying a simple line of text, a server error. I don’t recall the exact error but as soon as I deleted the plugin, I was able to access my site again and it was rendering as normal. Sorry, I did not save the error, that would probably have been helpful for you. Unfortunately, I do not have time to research every plugin that I use so when errors occur, I delete and move on. Perhaps other users can be more helpful. Thanks and Be well!
