This does not appear to be a feature. Yes, I can the status back to draft and then publish again but that’s not good enough 🙂

Is there a hook I could look at to possible change the behavior to post to facebook on update.

That’s not possible right now. Publicize is only triggered once, when you publish the post. Since the process happens on WordPress.com, you won’t be able to use a hook to customize Publicize in this case.

Yes, I can the status back to draft and then publish again but that’s not good enough 🙂

That won’t work I’m afraid. Once a post has been publicized, change its status won’t trigger Publicize again.

Thank you. Spent a while looking for ::publicize() last night before realizing it was on wordpress.com.
