# post thumbnails resizing problem

 * When I create a new post, I set a picture to be the featured image and click ‘
   full size’. It’s showing up, but instead of being fullsize, wordpress is cropping
   it down to 140×150 (thumbnail size) and then blows it back up to 140×207 instead
   of just using the original size. Anyone know what’s happening?

 * The featured image is always the thumbnail (as configured in Settings -> Media)
   unless your theme uses a [custom post thumbnail](http://codex.wordpress.org/Post_Thumbnails).

 * i reconfigured my thumbnail size in settings-> Media to be the size I want (140
   ×207), but it’s still doing the same thing

 * Now you’ve changed the thumbnail dimensions, try using the Regenerate Thumbnails
   plugin to regenerate your existing thumbs:
