post thumbnail link to large image and description

Hi all,

I am trying to do the following: have a list of thumbnails on my landing page (which is about.php) which, when clicked, will lead to a hidden div just above the thumbnails being populated with a large image and description which correspond to the thumbnail. My site in progress is at http://www.beta.jontakiff.com. (The thumbnails are hard coded for now). The hidden div will animate and push the thumbnails down…but I don’t need help with that, I need help figuring out how I would use a post thumbnail to then populate this div with the larger image and description. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
