  • Hi,
i would like to know if there is a way (or a plugin or anything else..)
to set up a fill color when using the post-thumbnail function.

In my case i’ve an image which it orignal size is 250 × 180.
I want to display it on a square format with this size: 126 x126
my problem is that i want that all the image been included in this size without croping but with a filled background (as the php function ‘imagefill’)

does anyone have an idea ?

    thanks

  • Why don’t you just wrap your post-thumbnail call in a div with a background-color CSS attribute?

because i didn’t know the resized height of the image, so i can’t center it verticaly..but the php can..

You could do it with a line of JS as well, or setting your CSS display to table-cell and vertical-align I think will do it also.
I try to leave the look and fell to CSS and JS and just let PHP pull data and run logic. But, I supposed you could use GD Library for what you want.
