    Hi Iulia!
The new update is working great as expected! Anyways, I need your opinion about this: I have uploaded all my images in the size of 1024×683. So all my large thumbnail sizes are again of the same resolution, because WP by default it creates a 1024XSMTH thumbnail. The full size image -as an example- is 218kb and the large post_thumb is 190kb.
But when I try to lower the quality of the thumb, the final output is a thumbnail with the exact file size of the full size image.
I am thinking to change the large thumbnail size, from the global settings of the plugin so I can be able to manipulate the quality of the thumbnails according to my needs.
If you have any ideas I would love to hear them 🙂
    Best regards,
    F.

    Hello,

I am not sure what to advise you about the change you need to do. By default, WordPress will not create another physical file for the multiple images sizes result in the same width x height, that’s why if you have defined more with the same width and height you will actually override the same file anyway.

As far as I understand, if the full size of the image is 1024×683 and you want to create an image size with the same width and height, there is a very big chance that you will alter the quality of the full-size image, which will produce poor quality on other image sizes, as each will decrease the quality not starting from a 100% but from what the altered full-size will have at that point.

I am not fully confident I understand your use case, but you could check and see where in the theme you might need the large thumbnail size, and maybe ignore it (to default to the full-size anyway), or change the code to use the full-size itself.

    Regards,
    Iulia
