    Hello,

    I’m the developer responsible for a news website, and recently the editors started complaining about thumbnail issues when sharing some posts in Facebook.

    It works fine most of the time, but every now and then there’s a post that goes without image to Facebook. Then the editors go to the Facebook Debug tool, and it says the post is missing og:image tags.

    So I noticed that this was true for the cached post (we use WP Super Cache) – no og:image tags there. But the live/uncached version of the post had the tags in place, so we could workaround it by clearing the cache and instructing FB to refetch the page.

    Although there’s this workaround, it’s a real pain, because the social media team doesn’t have access to clear WP cache, and well, it should work seamlessly.

    We have the Jetpack’s Image Accelerator (CDN) on, and I’ve read that it should work with WP Super Cache just fine. But I suspect that it takes time for Jetpack to upload/serve those images in the CDN, and the post might get cached before that CDN image gets ready, or something like this?

    Any help is much appreciated.

    @erania-pinnera I don’t follow.
    I haven’t received any response to my contact yet, and as far as I understand, the issue is there and may affect other users as well, so I would not recommend marked it as solved at all.
