 * I am new to WP and cannot obtain to display only few lines of the long post text,
   followed by the <more> indication.
 * Can somedy help me?

 * When writing your post there is a little button in the editor to add the more
   link. It looks like two pages separated by a dotted line. Just move your cursor
   to where you want the post to be separated and click this button.
