Support » Plugin: Post Types Order » Post Sort Order not correct when 4 to a row (Total Theme / “Staff” page

  • I’m using the Total theme and am trying to sort the posts on the “Staff” page of our website. The page appears at: http://www.sfsinvent.com/our-team/.

When we are viewing full browser width with 4 to a row, there are 2 cases where the posts aren’t sorted correctly on the page.

    1) In the 2nd row, “Dr Noel Elman” is appearing as the 3rd post in the row. He should appear as the 1st post in the row.

    2) In the 3rd row, “Pavan Sethi, Ph.D.” is appearing as the 3rd post in the row. He should appear as the 1st post in the row.

All other posts are appearing as expected.

Note: When this page is viewed in a narrow browser or on a phone or tablet, where there are either one or two staff members per row, the posts appear in the correct order.

Also, when we load the page for the first time, we see the 2 posts (Elman and Sethi) appear as the 1st post on the row, as expected, for an instant, and then they move to the 3rd post on the row.

Note: In the backend, the posts appear in the order expected (on the “Re-order” page) and the correct post number appears on each individual post page.

Would you take a look and see if you have any ideas of how to fix this issue?

    Thanks!

It appear your theme use a custom JavaScript (isotope) to fit the elements inside the rows. Even so the elements actually are sent in correct order (see the html code) they are being switched for a specific reason. I suggest to check the theme options / javascript code if there’s a way to disable it.

    Thanks
