Post SMTP email error with Gmail – just started happening

The following error just started happening today. PostSMTP has worked fine for years before this.

You getting this message because an error detected while delivered your email.

Did you change something?

Maybe two factir auth?
Password change? Policy for gsuite

Nope. Haven’t changed anything on the site, didn’t add 2fa or change the password. The only things that have changed are WordPress upgrades and upgrades for other plugins.

try to login from the browser, what do you see?

Logging into the site I just see messages in the log about the same thing.

Logging into gmail I have no messages about this.

Try changing from SMTP to the appropriate API e.g. Gmail Api in settings, rerun Oath and test.
