Post Sharing: Snippet Preview

Thank you for supplying such a great plugin. When sharing a blog post with the social media buttons, is there any way to counteract or adjust the snippet preview so the words in the description are A) properly spaced and B) contain a meta description I wrote with “WordPress SEO by Yoast” plugin? Before the last wordrpess update my last blog post properly showed the meta description when I shared it with Ultimate Social Media Icons.
