Post SEO settings length color warnings don’t match posts SEO overview

    On my post, if I make the color green for the length of the Custom Post Title and Custom Post Description at the bottom of the page, then go to the posts SEO overview it is now amber saying ‘length is too short’

    I assume this is a bug, or am I missing something?

    To completely answer your question:
    The SEO Bar is still using character counters, whereas the new green bar counts pixels instead.

    With 3.0, it was initially planned to include pixel counters for the SEO Bar. However, the feature was cut because I wasn’t happy with the conjectured solutions.
    I’m still speculating over this, and I hope to have the feature-set complete by 3.1; if at all technically feasible, I might need to expand the framework first.

    In any case, when in doubt: inspect the pixel counter bar.

    I hope this answers your question! If it doesn’t, and you believe there’s still a bug, please fill me in on the details so I can reproduce it.

    Thanks, that makes sense!

    I would recommend that you amend the text to:

    Custom Post Title (pixel count)
    Custom Post Description (pixel count)

    or something similar?

    I did not think to hover over the text to get the explanation that is hidden there 🙂
