Post Privacy

I’m using BuddyPress and WordPress to build a social networking site, where users are able to enter posts (custom posts) from the front end. I have been able to set the privacy of the activity using the BP Activity Privacy plugin, but is it possible to also add privacy settings to the post?

Any tips or tricks on how to implement this (even if it needs custom code) would be appreciated.
