Post password not accepted

    Password not really necessary for this question so link provided just for visual. When the password for a protected post is entered, and, yes, it is correct, it simply refreshes the page, essentially bring you right back to where you started. My index.php is in my root directory, NOT the subdirectory. I saw a post about modifying the path in the wp-pass.php file, but the post was from 6 years ago and the coding is not the same as the current pass file. Any idea on what the solution is?
