Post lose design

  • Hi!
When I try to post anything on my blog, the design tags are removed ( and <br/>).
I still don’t know how to make a new line in this blog.

  • Ah, forgot to mention the URL: http://blog.bisna.com

What the hell am I doing wrong here?

Well, first of all, you don’t have to add tags like <br /> (and that’s the proper way to use it if you need it, with a space between the r and the /) with the editor.

Just type like normal, and hit enter when you want to start a new line…

To follow up. If you’re using the WYSIWYG editor in WP2.x:

To create a new line, hit enter. That will insert a <br /> for you.

To seperate paragraphs, hit enter twice between them. The editor will then wrap each in <p> .. </p> tags.

HandySolo – that’s not the case in MY 2.0.2 wysiwyg editor… when I hit enter once it makes a new paragraph…

maybe you mean if you’re NOT using the wysiwyg editor? i just double checked it in mine, and hitting enter does start a new paragraph.

The problem is that I’m doing all this, but when I save it, it removed all post design. I tryed everything: p and br tags, div with a margin, \r\n, everything.
I also tryed to use the HTML view and directly add my post there, but it removes too.

STOP trying to add formatting tags.
Just go into the editor, type, like NORMAL, and then save the post.

you do NOT need to add tags, you simply have to use the enter key.

I did this too (and repeated now). Enter in WYSI-N-WYG editor for new paragraph and Shift + Enter to break row tag.

    Still doesn’t work.

LD HandySolo – that’s not the case in MY 2.0.2 wysiwyg editor… when I hit enter once it makes a new paragraph…

With MY 2.0.2 editor, that approach would work for me about 50% of the time. I saw a post here a month or so ago suggesting the double-enter-for-paragraphs trick and now I actually use the damned thing.

    wow – i’ve never had a problem… 🙁

Guilherme… – I’m seeing perfect paragraphs on your site. Hit Ctrl+F5 and try looking at it again.

I found a reason for that. I installed together with WP the GeShi plugin.
I deactivate it and it works. I still need to find another plugin that works with syntax coloring of programming languages.
