post listing by author

okay, I don’t know if this is the right section of the forum. If it’s wrong, I’ll track down a mod and get it moved.

Here’s my question. I’m working on a website that will have multiple authors. I want to be able to give each author their own profile page. On the profile page I want 2 sections.

Section 1: will have an image and the bio information. Nothing big. Already have it done and made.

Section 2: A list of the posts that Author has made.

Is there a function in wordpress that will build the list of posts automatically on the page? Or is that more of a automatic function combined with themes that is handled outside of the page editor itself?

Basically I want to be able to make the page like I would any other page in WordPress, and then have a section that says:

Posts by <author name>:
Post 1
Post 2
Post 3
Post 4
…

Is that a function in wordpress or do I have to look at theme functions?
