I am having some trouble with the alignment – at least that’s what I think the problem is.

When I view my website from laptops/computers with a different (larger) screen size and screen resolution the images and text do not align properly, the images do not fill the entire width of the post resulting in some text displaying alongside the images.

Is there a way I can fix this?

    My website is http://www.simplysimone.me

Thank you for the great theme!!

Also, I just noticed, any portrait photos don’t automatically fit the size of the body of the post like the landscape photos do. Is there a way to fix this?

    Thank you!! 🙂

    Hi Simoné,

    Thanks for choosing Ignite!

Let’s use this image as an example: http://pics.competethemes.com/image/3G0R0d2m2t16

It fills the Post content completely until the screen gets very wide. At which point, the text begins to wrap around it like this: http://pics.competethemes.com/image/2l3y0c1j3F35

This is happening because the image is not wide enough to fill the available space. The image is naturally 576px wide, but in that screenshot, the post content is 826px wide.

To prevent the text from wrapping around it, you can center align the image. Then it will show in the middle of the post content, and the text will sit above and below it even if the image doesn’t completely fill the width of the space.

Otherwise, a larger version of the image will need to be uploaded and used instead to fill the available space.

    Hi Ben

This works great, thank you! And thank you for the speedy response. I have one last question, is there a way that I can change the “picture” that displays on the “You may also like” section after the post? At the moment it is just a geometric shape and I would like it to have the first picture from the post.

    Thanks!! 🙂

    Yea no problem 🙂

I’m not sure how to modify the image in the related posts section. That is coming from a plugin, rather than Ignite. There may be a setting for that in the plugin, or the developer of the plugin may be able to help
