Every time I try to update/publish a post when I’m on HTML and not Visual, the post area with all of the text/coding goes blank. If a draft was saved or I’m editing a post that was already saved and refresh the page, the post comes back without any of the changes I made. I have to go into the Visual editor to save everything now or else it won’t save.

I don’t know how long this has been going on because I don’t do much coding, but I know I used to be able to update from this screen.

    Any help would be appreciated!

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading the wp-admin and wp-includes folders from a fresh download of WordPress.

Deactivating the plugins and then re-activating them one-by-one worked.

    Thanks so much!
