# Post excerpts

 * Hi guys,
 * I am using the the jessica-fletcher-redux theme and am really hoping to find 
   a way to create excerpts, but am afraid this theme does not support them.
 * I have a number of long posts that I don’t want to appear on the front page of
   my blog. I need to find a way to create an excerpt of 4-6 lines with a link to
   read the whole article.
 * I’ve gone through every option possible and can’t find it. Can anyone help me
   out?

 * Appreciate the link. Although unfortunately I have no WP editing experience. 
   How do I use the information presented on that page to create an excerpt function
   for my site?
