# Post excerpt

    When using your demo how to display the posts, the excerpt is not showing.
   How do I fix that? Regards Malin

 * By default posts don’t, and so the excerpt is a [trimmed display of the post main content](https://developer.wordpress.org/reference/functions/the_excerpt/).
 * This plugin works by taking a snapshot of the wp_posts table and the actual stored
   value of the excerpt…ie not the trimmed default.
