    How it should look: https://cl.ly/2o1K0u2F2n1j

(keep an eye on the far right of the images)

    I’ve tried:
    – enabling debug mode to see if any error message appears that could help (no error messages)
    – installed exactly all the same plugins present on the production env (both active and inactive ones) on a staging env (can’t afford to turn off all plugins on prod env as of now)
    – checking wp-config.php, and functions.php for any “editor disabled” lines (can’t remember the exact code)
    – checking to see if “disable visual editor” was checked on every single profile on wordpress (did also tried cheking, saving and uncheking again)
    – updating wordpress
    – updating all plugins

    No luck so far 🙁

  • It looks like it might be a javascript/jquery issue. Try re-uploading all files & folders – except the root wp-config.php & .htaccess files and the wp-content folder – from a fresh download of WordPress. Make sure that you delete the old copies of files & folders before uploading the new ones.

If that fails, then you may have to deactivate all plugins & switch to the default theme temporarily on your production site to try and isolate the issue.

I’m having the same issue with a client site.

After trying all of the fixes I found without success, I cloned the site to my server. On my server, all works fine. Both my server and the clients server are cpanel hosting.

The client told me they recently switched to VPS hosting and that seems to be when the issue occurred.

So there seems to be some setting on the server that is causing the issue.

    Does anyone have any ideas?

    Thanks,
    Dave
