• Hey folks,

The page editor in my live environment is broken, my admin account is stuck on the text editor. My clients admin account is stuck on the visual editor. The client’s account is also missing a large amount of content from the page editor on a number of seemingly random pages. The only connection is that pages with custom fields from the ACF plugin work perfectly, because the don’t seem to run TinyMCE at all.

On my private staging environment the site works fine, for me and the client. But now it is deployed it doesn’t work.

The site is here – http://www.haringey6.ac.uk/

    Troubleshooting already attempted:
    Deactivate all plugins.
Replace TinyMCE directory in /wp-inlcudes/ with fresh download
    Re-install entire wordpress core.

This is the GET request that fails:
    GET http://www.haringey6.ac.uk/wp-includes/js/tinymce/wp-tinymce.php?c=1&ver=4208-20151113

I host it on my own virtual server. I can’t think what the issue could be here.
    Any help appreciated

  • This could potentially be a browser-specific error? Have you tested the problem in different browsers and seeing if you’re able to replicate?

Since upgrading to 4.4.2 I seem to be having close to the same issue, I am getting an 404 on /wp-includes/js/tinymce/plugins/lists/plugin.min.js which is making the visual editor not work.

Did u ever find a solution?
