 * When editing a post I am unable to save a Custom Field. I deactivated all plugins
and activated them one at a time and Media Library Assistant ended up being the
culprit. Any ideas what might be wrong and how I might be able to fix this?

 * Thanks for your report. I regret the trouble you are having with custom fields
   and the plugin.
 * I just ran a quick test on my system and I am able to update custom fields without
any problems. I went to the Media/Assistant screen and clicked the “Edit” rollover
action to go to the Media/Edit Media screen. I then changes the value of two
custom fields, clicking the “update” button for each field. The field background
flashed yellow, and the content was updated.
 * I would like to reproduce your issue so I can investigate further. Can you tell
me the steps you are using to attempt the update? Can you confirm the versions
of MLA and WordPress you are using? Any additional details will be helpful; thanks.

 * I am using WordPress 5.0.3 and MLA 2.78. When I am editing a post, scroll down
to the Custom Fields, select a field, add a value and then try and save it. Nothing
happens. Reopen the post and the field was not added. I disabled the Custom Field
area in MLA but that had no impact.

 * Thanks for your update with the additional information. I now realize your problem
   is with Posts, not Media items. I did not read your original post carefully enough;
   sorry.
 * I was able to reproduce the problem on my system and I will investigate further.
 * In the interim, you can work around the problem by disabling MLA’s Media Manager
   enhancements:
    1. Navigate to the Settings/Media Library Assistant General tab.
    2. Scroll down to the “Media Manager/Media Grid Enhancements” section.
    3. Uncheck the box to the left of “Enable Media Manager Enhancements”.
    4. Scroll to the bottom of the screen and click “Save Changes” to record your new
       setting.
 * I hope that gives you some relief while I work on a fix. Thanks for your help
   and your patience.

 * Thanks for confirming the work-around.
 * I have uploaded a new MLA Development Version dated 20190209 that contains a
fix for your issue. If you want to re-enable the “Media Manager Enhancements”
you can install the Development Version and update your settings.
 * You can find step-by-step instructions for using the Development Version in this
   earlier topic:
 * [PHP Warning on media upload with Polylang](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/php-warning-on-media-upload-with-polylang/#post-9625341)
 * If you have problems with the Development Version you can reinstall the production
version or disable the “Media Manager Enhancements” depending on the nature of
   the problem.
 * If you get a chance to try the Development Version please let me know how it
works for you. I will do more testing and update the MLA production version when
I am back in the country after March 1. Thanks for your help with this issue.

 * I have released MLA version 2.79, which contains the fix for your issue.
 * I am marking this topic resolved, but please update it if you have any trouble
with the new version. Thanks again for your help with this MLA improvement.
