Post contents disappearing inside the editor after clicking Update Post

  • Hi, I have a problem where when I have a long post with many images (i.e.20+), on multiple pages (using <!–nextpage–>) that once I change something and then click “Update Post”, all the contents disappear from inside the editor. I see that the changes are made on the site, so it shows up. And I checked in the database that the entry was actually submitted. But it just no longer shows up inside the editor. The HTML tab is empty as well. Just blank, as if the post is completely empty.

I realize that if I try another post with a lesser amount of content (images, text), it does not happen.

Does anyone know what’s going on? I search the forums but all I’m seeing is that people are experiencing TinyMCE disappearing or the post not showing up on the site itself. But in my case TinyMCE is there and it actually posts to the site, but I can no longer do further edits as the editor is blank. Getting out and then back in to edit the post does not help, still blank.

Any help would be much appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.
