• Congratulations on Find your Nearest. It is a wonderful plugin, and I know I’ll find it useful for many of my sites.

I am working on a project currently for a Knee Clinic in the UK and they want to add a list of physiotherapists – about 100 – to their site, so I’ve been seeking a method for the physios to login and add themselves, and their details to a geo-searchable directory. One in which patients enter their post code and the results list physios in their locality.

I am already using the Formidable plugin on this site to enable users to add information they want published on the site. It is set to create a new “Find Your Nearest” post for each entry.

I would like to know if it is possible for their post code to be passed to Find Your Nearest during form submission, and for Find Your Nearest to calculate the longitude and latitude from it, so that when their post is approved, and published, users can still perform a search by entering their own post code to find their nearest physios.

Is this something which can be done?

    Best wishes

  • I cannot think of any way in which that can be done at present… I suspect it would require the addition of a new function that would update all not-yet-updated lat/long values using a regular cron job or something similar
