Post Centre doesnt seem to work on desktop browsers | WordPress.org

Hi,

hopefully someone can help. I am just starting to create my Blog and just have a static post with a coming soon. The issue is that when i look at the site on a web browser on a desktop the post is positioned to the left. When i look on a mobile device such as Iphone and Ipad the post is centred.

Hi Mark,

I think something should be on the right hand side of the page, such as a widget area.

This blank area will disappear probably beneath the post on mobile, making the post full width.

Does your theme have any form of templates that you could switch the static page to a full width template? Alternatively can you fill that space with a few widgets (Appearance > Widgets)?

What happens when you add a new post?

I will make some changes to try and have a static page for the interim until i beef out the blog which will then look as expected.
