Post Category revert back to “Uncategorized” when Updating

Hi! I have an issue when I try to change the Category of a Post, I check the one I want and when I click Update, the category will revert back to “Uncategorized”. I tried with

I realized that the issue was with Polyang because it only happened with the post in English (the site is in both Spanish and English) and when I turn off the plugin the issue disappear and I can change the category again, and when I activate it again, the category assigned will stick but updating it will revert it to Uncategorized.

Naturally, turning off the plugin every time that we need to assign a category in post in English is not ideal, specially because the whole page goes down without Polyang active.

The page is running with WordPress 5.5.1, PHP 7.3.18 and Polyang 2.8.2, using a Google Cloud Compute Engine with the Bitnami WordPress package
Also, I have the debug log on and there is anything new there.

Edit: Also, I tried changing the default Language from Spanish to English and the problem was the same
