TYPO CORRECTION, READ THIS INSTEAD OF THE ABOVE
I used jetpack to try post by email, it generated address, and I tested it, it worked. but I have a custom post type and I wanted to configure postie, but there is NO post by mail SETTING in writing setting. On the jetpack writing setting, I enabled post by mail but jetpack’s settings do not ask mail server, and password. I deactivated jetpack to see if I can find in WordPress general setting but I couldn’t find. how do I turn of jetpack and configure setting in WordPress writing setting? I used different addresses for jetpacks and postie’s.
Any advice will be appreciated.

Postie does not use the post by mail setting. All the Postie configuration is is the Postie admin section.

it works now.
Now that it works, i am interested in the Postie short codes addon. I am specifically interested in attaching terms in custom taxonomies and inserting custom fields.
1. For attaching terms to custom taxonomies, attach every terms to my custom taxonomies once or I have to insert shortcode for every email?
2. does inserting custom field mean, for example in my case, in the email I am fethching, there is a deadline. I want to attach/map that date to my ‘application deadline’ custom field (from wp job manager). and do I do that once or I enter shortcode each time.
3. the plugin at first read Amharic, but I don’t know what settings I tweaked, it doesn’t read Amharic now? can u hint which setting to change to be able to read Amharic and also read tables as they were and new lines
4. setting filter new lines to no would result different paragraphs start on a new line? or I should set it to ‘yes’ to start different paragraphs on a new line?
5. if it has moneyback guarantee for addons, I will just buy and check.

Postie does not modify/create taxonomies. You can associate a term from a custom taxonomy to a post. This has to be done every time.

Postie doesn’t care about the language. More than likely the email coming through has been altered before Postie sees it.

You should use HTML email and set “Preferred Text Type” to HTML. That way the newlines setting doesn’t matter.
