Post By Email Help

I was unsuccessful at trying to get the ssl://pop.gmail to work in the settings/writing section. So I had to use the very simplistic webmail provided by the webhost 000webhost.com

My question is: is it possible to have wordpress (wp-mail.php) check a folder other than the inbox for new email? Without having spam detection.. or even with it for that matter, wouldn’t it be better to set up a filter and only put email that you want to be posted into a unique folder? Then you wouldn’t need to create a new wacky email address, or worry that much about spam being sent though to the site.

Would really like to know how wordpress could check a specific email folder via pop3.
