# Post button disappeared

 * After updating to Buddypress 5 the ‘post’ button has gone. I can upload an image
   in the activity wall but then there’s no way of posting it.

 * Meanwhile, you can enable the `Direct Upload` from the rtMedia settings.

 * any updates on this issue? We have the same problem and your proposed workaround
   does not work if you only want to post text without an image :/

   my buddypress template pack from nouveau to legacy – it lost the formatting that
   i like but at least the button is now working.

   considering peepso = they have a migrate tool from buddypress to peepso…their
   support is quick and awesome! Buddypress is severely lacking in support

   though, this plugin isn’t made by the Buddypress developers. It’s a 3rd party
   plugin so the support will differ. As they stated they are working on it. It’s
   also a free plugin so support is likely to be limited.
