    Hi,

Can you advise on unique titles for post and portfolio archives?

    Post archive: https://www.ceutagroup.com/category/orchid/
    Portfolio archive: https://www.ceutagroup.com/join/orchid/

I can’t see where to set the post archive search appearance in the plugin? Post settings doesn’t have an option for archives.

Archive settings for portfolio posts don’t seem to be being obeyed. They are set to show:

    %%pt_plural%% Archive %%page%% %%sep%% %%sitename%%

But are simply showing the category, separator and site.

    Thanks

    Hi,

The page located here: https://www.ceutagroup.com/category/orchid/ is a category archive page. The title settings for these pages can be set in SEO -> Search Appearance -> Taxonomies in the Categories section.

Regarding the archive located here: https://www.ceutagroup.com/join/orchid/, we are not familiar with how this custom archive is created, but you should be able to find the settings for the “portfolio” archive under the SEO -> Search Appearance -> Content Types tab, then look for the “Portfolio” post type and you should find the settings for the post type and archive there.

    Hi,

I think there is a problem with the theme pagination as far as the category archive title goes – but I would still expect ‘page 1’ to be in the title with these settings?

    %%term_title%% Archives %%page%% %%sep%% %%sitename%%

As for the second link, as I said it’s a portfolio post and I’ve used a custom slug for it to replace ‘portfolio_category’ with ‘join’ in the standard permalink settings page. In SEO > Search Appearance > Content Types > Portfolio, it calls it avada_portfolio. Under Portfolio archive there, I’ve added %%pt_plural%% Archive %%page%% %%sep%% %%sitename%% and that’s not being obeyed.

    Thanks

    Hi,

You identified several issues. We have responded to them below.

    A. I think there is a problem with the theme pagination as far as the category archive title goes
It may be dependent on the theme. Some themes may show a Page 1 on the first category page, others may not. We are not sure. You may want to reach out to the theme developer and confirm what the expected results are with pagination.

We do know for the rest of the category titles whatever you have in the SEO-Search Appearance-Taxonomies-Categories-Title is expected to appear

    B. Under Portfolio archive there, I’ve added %%pt_plural%% Archive %%page%% %%sep%% %%sitename%% and that’s not being obeyed.

We checked and we see that the right title is being outputted except for the page (which is expected as described in A, above). See image: https://pasteboard.co/HVwKdInf.png Does that match your expectations?
