Post’s Section Appears On Sidebar & This One Has Gone To The Bottom Of The Page
-
Hello everyone,
I’m using the kubrick wide theme. The posts on the homepage are ok, but part of the post went to the sidebar on every post’s page, the sidebar has been moved to the bottom of the page, and the footer is out of place. When using another theme the posts work ok(e.g. appleedge theme), that’s why I think the problem is with the kubrick theme. I want to know how to edit the css file for fixing this issue. Some atributes that keep the posts in place.
This is a post example from the blog:
This is the css file:

Thanks for your consideration.

Hi Ivan — My sidebar has also moved to the bottom. I have no idea why, but it happened about half an hour ago… very strange.
Hi theuncook! It’s very strange and is driving me crazy. I know it is the kubrick theme layout.I’m a newbie, so I have little css knowledge and I don’t know how to fix it. I don’t know a way to keep everything in place on the single post page.
Ivan – Had a quick look at your source code and it seems there is an extra closing div somewhere along the way that is causing the issue. I couldn’t be 100% sure without a closer look but based on how the Kubrick theme files are structured it looks like it may be within the post content directly after the last line in the post that starts Article Source. Have a look at the html source in the post editor, if there is a closing div tag within your content you should be able to drop that and clear up your issues.
Thanks Jeremy! Let me check it.
Sorry but I didn’t mentioned that I’m using and automatic blog content plugin to get content from articlebase.com. I’m not writing the posts.
No worries, looks like the problem is fixed?
You’re right Jeremy. That extra closing div is the problem, but I don’t know how to stop it. I don’t know where it does come from.
I edited that post. I added a word at the end of the post, then removed that word and the div tag got removed. If you check the others posts the problem is still there. The div tag is always at the end of the post.
I don’t know if I should check the single.php file. Maybe it has something to do with this.
I wouldn’t recommend editing the single.php, I am assuming the structure there is correct. Sounds like the blog content plugin is importing a closing div with the content itself. It could either be a situation in the plugin or it could relate to the content being imported. I would start by troubleshooting in those two areas before editing the template files.
Thanks Jeremy. I will implement your advice right away. I’ll keep u informed 🙂
