post and product meta overrided by site meta in whatsapp

@sefid-par Can you please clarify what you mean by that the global site meta is being used instead? Do you mean that in the preview on WhatsApp you are seeing the <title> and <meta name="description"> being used instead of the og:title and og:image ?

We reviewed the metadata for the page and do see the following Open Graph metadata output for the page:

When we checked on the link you provided and shared it in WhatsApp, we see the link preview as the following (see image here). We confirmed that the image appearing is https://mecato.ir/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/1200px-Iran_Khodro_logo.svg.png and that the title is ‘ثبت‌نام ایران‌خودرو در مرداد ۱۳۹۹ – مکاتو – ارسال لوازم یدکی به تمام شهرهای ایران’.

Can you please confirm whether that is what you are expecting to see?

Could you please try to share your initial post here and see if it has the correct title and image? We ask as when we shared it, we did get the expected result as to what was set in the open graph title and image set with the Yoast SEO plugin.

Otherwise, you may have to contact WhatsApp for further support and confirm if they honor the open graph tags for sharing links on WhatsApp, and why it’s showing up differently on your chosen device.
