    Hi there,

Thanks for this great plugin. I really like the use of it and it’s really powerful.

I’m writing because I’m able to duplicate all my sites but there’s a strange problem about pages, post and users that don’t duplicate. Everything else is there, the plugins, the themes, the child themes…

Do you have an idea of what could be causing this ?

I’ve tried this on two local sites with the same errors.

    Thank you very much

    Sylvain

Oh, just so you know, I get no errors from the Installer whatsoever.

The medias don’t seem to duplicate also.

    Hey @magellan456,

Double check the installer-data.sql file and make sure your see post/page content in the SQL statements. If you don’t then when the package was created somehow those tables did not get read. If the data is there then your having issues with the SQL inserts which can be related to database permission issues as well…

    Hope that helps!

I found that my problem is probably on my host’s server. All the tables are there and If I deploy my clone locally, everything works well. I’ll try to see where It can come from going through my Cpanel. Any hint is welcome !

    Hi Cory,

After going through my host’s settings, It seems that something is not working well with the SQL importation function. Your plugin is not in fault, since the same exact thing occurs with Xcloner.

That’s sad, but without not knowing how to solve this and since my host does not support third party plugin, I guess i’ll have to do my transfers manually.

If someone ever makes this work on Siteground, I’d be happy to know how they did!

    Best regards!

    Sylvain

If your host has a cPanel interface you can try the settings found in this video. Forward to around the 7 min mark…

Thanks for trying to help Cory. Unfortunately, like I said, I’m able to do all the steps without errors, including database creation and granting privileges to a user. All the process goes find and contains no log errors. There’s something else going on and right now, that’s just over my knowledge.

If you ever try Duplicator on Siteground, I’d be happy to see whether you succeed or not and how you did it.

    Kind regards,

    Sylvain

Understand… Will post back if I do.

    Thanks!

    Great News Cory.

It seems that Siteground set a rule for WordPress prefix. They don’t allow prefixes that differ from wp_ . Since I had changed those for a security purpose, that’s where my error come from. Replacing them with the standard wp_ made the whole process succeed.

I wonder if other Hosts might have the same rule. Maybe it would be worth it to include this information somewhere in the FAQ section.

I’ve noticed this when trying to manually export my site while having the exact same issue. I remembered that Yootheme’s template examples also had this issue.

    Thanks for your help.

    Sylvain

Thanks for posting the work-a-round Sylvain!
