# Post Access

 * Hi There,
 * I have tried limiting access by visitors to a particular Post using a Negative
   Rule but it still is accessible. It is accessed by a link through a Page which
   is accessible but the Post should not then show up as it has been restricted.
 * Any ideas how I can prevent Visitor access to a particular Post?

 * Have you set proper access level for visitor in membership stranger settings?
 * Which rules have you set for the access level?

 * Hi Again,
 * So I have a Visitor access, I cannot see any mention in the plug in of Strangers,
   but for the Visitor access, I have allowed access to all menu Items. One of those
   menu links goes to a normal Page with some html content and in that page is a
   link to a Post.
 * I want a Visitor to be able to access that page but not the post.
 * So I have one negative rule set against the Specific Post for Visitors, but when
   I not logged in, that Post is accessible still.
 * Edit: Just found the Stranger settings and they are pointing to the Visitors 
   group…

 * Thanks for that clarification.
 * To be sure that Visitor level is actually working, are you seeing any other restrictions
   with it?
 * Is it only that Post rule that isn’t working?
 * If so, could you try removing that Post rule, moving to the Positive rule section
   and adding it as a positive rule, keeping that particular Post unticked?
 * Could you let us know how that works for you?
