I have some old/smaller images and would like to upscale them to suit my modern thumbnail dimensions (not expecting amazing quality but I do want their dimensions to be resized). This use to be possible on a much older version of NextGen, which would upscale when you ‘created new thumbnails’, but today it seems like you’re limited by the pixel dimensions of the original. Is there any way to upscale images when creating a new thumbnail?

The only way to resize the already existing thumbnails is from “Gallery -> Manage Galleries -> Bulk Actions” by selecting the needed gallery/images and then select “Create new thumbnails” then press “Apply” button.

This will allow NextGen to generate a new thumbnail image using the full-size image up to full-size image’s size ( you wouldn’t be able to upscale the thumbnail to make it bigger than the full-size image )

    Hope this helps
