Possible to use Dropcap shortcode without using Hueman Addons plugin?

    Hello,

    I just updated my theme from v2.1.9 to the latest version. I’m now unable to see the dropcap function implemented and it just appears like [dropcap]E[/dropcap] in the post.

    I noticed that we need to use Hueman Addons plugin to use shortcodes. Is there any way (via CSS or by editing functions.php) to add the dropcap functionality without using a plugin?
