Possible to collapse sub items?

    Hi there Ann,

    Great question, unfortunately what you are describing isn’t really compatible with <select> menus as far as I know. For what you’re describing, you’ll likely need a custom CSS/jQuery solution that work in conjunction with your theme. This is a common design feature that is built into most modern, responsive themes these days (for an example, see our Genesis starter theme, Trestle).

    jQuery Responsive Select Menu, however, is intended to provide a simple workaround for themes that don’t do this out of the box (which it sounds like yours doesn’t).

    Sorry I can’t be of more help – at this point you’ll likely need to create a custom CSS/jQuery solution of your own, or hire someone to do that for you.
