    Hello,

it seems that there might be a bug concerning the EOL of chunks sent to the SMTP server. While I did go relatively deep in debugging, I could not find the actual occurrence of the bug in code.

The error that occurs is that if dots match the end / start of chunks, they may be duplicated. I noticed this because a URL referencing an image in a newsletter was broken, but the error didn’t occur when I sent the mail via PHP.
Including a comment to increase the length of the file before the URL worked, but since dynamically included image URLs might still have been broken, we are switching both plugins and smtp servers for this site.

Hence I do not need this problem to be resolved for me, and keep in mind that it may also be a server-side problem of the smtp server altogether, but I do advise looking into this nevertheless.
Because of this, I will not check this thread again. You might however want to leave a reply for others dealing with similar trouble in the future, but that is up to you. If this sort of post is somehow against some rules that I overlooked, I apologise; I simply wanted to bring this to your attention without any profit on my side.

I hope you will find a solution (or that it was no error on your side to begin with) and that this will not reflect negatively on your plugin; I did not leave a review of it either.

    Have a nice day

    Thanks for the warning.

I don’t see any point writing something here because it’s the first time I hear this issue and I can’t keeping debug it with you so ….

but saved for reference on my side 🙂
