I recently updated a blog post and used Google Search Console to inspect it. GSC said the URL was “Indexed, not submitted in sitemap” * I went over to TSF area in WordPress and in the Sitemaps tab I selected “View the base sitemap.” That opened up a new tab. I searched on the URL and it showed up in the sitemap. * I’m not sure where to go with this. Can you provide some troubleshooting advice? However, I still believe Google Search Console to be lagging in synchronizing its data; so, this issue might’ve been resolved already. * Would you like me to inspect it manually? Since your last message, I believe Google should’ve rectified their statement about the “not submitted in sitemap”- part? Large sitemaps take (far) longer to process, so I urge keeping it small (load time under 2 seconds) for the best results. * It is a good sign, though, that Google finds your pages without needing to parse the sitemap 🙂 If you’re still finding issues, please open a new topic so we won’t bother Mark too much with notifications.
