Just wondering about the extent of the plugins capabilities with regards to interfacing with the (Specifically Escapia and ISLink) APIs?. Would it be possible to create additional functionality within the plugin that would allow users to search for properties based on geographic location?

Also – I’d like to integrate with google maps in order to display the property location on the map, is it possible to retrieve property coordinates from the APIs?

Absolutely, We don’t currently support searching with latitude and longitude, but that’s not to say we couldn’t make that happen. We do however already support the ability to search by many other location details such as the location, area, city, state, country and postal code fields.

The VRPConnector is deeply integrated with Escapia and ISILink and adds quite a bit of functionality on top of those two property management systems.

As for the Mapping functionality, http://www.lifestylevillas.net and http://www.beachrentals.mobi offer examples of how they have used google maps to pin results.

The beach rentals site is very similar to the default theme that comes with the VRPConnector as far as the map is concerned. That functionality is present right out of the box.
