Hi L-B! Could you share a link to your website (which uses that theme, I suppose) where I can see an external featured image in action?
As I said in previous support threads, external featured images might not work because of missing CSS rules (easy to fix) or because of how they’re inserted by WordPress (not that easy). I’d like to check if it’s the former case and, if it is, share a CSS proposal for fixing it. If it isn’t, I’ll need access to your theme, to take a quick look at the source code and see if we can fix it.

I think it is not only a CSS problem… 🙁
