Possible? New Network Site On An Existing Site's Subfolder

    I’m using a subdirectory setup on my multisite with the domain mapping plugin. There are several network sites running flawlessly on it now, granted they are all on a different domain name.

    Is it possible to create a new network site in a subfolder of an existing network site? For example:

    Network Site 1:
    domain.com

    Network Site 2:
    domain.com/xyz/

    I tried this setup just out of the box through my network admin dashboard but I keep getting a “403 Forbidden” error when I visit the url domain.com/xyz/. I tried using standard multisite .htaccess as well but still no luck.

    Am I just trying to do something that is not possible?
