    Hi!

    I am an Intercom customer and have a multisite where I would like to install the intercom code. I installed the plugin from within “Network Admin”, and clicked on “Network Activate”.

    When I go to the Dashboard of one of the multisites, it shows a message:

    Intercom needs some attention. Please configure the Intercom settings to start tracking your users.

    However when I click on the “configure the Intercom settings” link, it shows me this error message, even though I have Super Admin permissions:

    You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page.

    The URL for the page that shows the error is:
    http://[URL]/wp-admin/options-general.php?page=intercom

    Any ideas what I am doing wrong?

    I tried getting support for this by asking the team at Intercom and they said they were not able to help with the plug in. I just thought I would check again and see if there were updates or feedback about what I can do to get the plug-in to work.

    Sorry for the delay, I somehow missed your post in my feed.

    To be honest, it’s a very long time since I’ve tried the plugin on multisite, so I’ve just checked and you are right, there does seem to be a bug when network activating it – the error message should not show up for each site as the options are set globally at the network level.

    I have opened issue #5 on the GitHub repository.

    However, I would advise that rather than network activating it, you activate on a per-site basis. That way, each site gets its own options page, so each site owner can use their own Intercom account.
