Possible Defect: plugin doesn't degrade gracefully during Mailchimp outage

    I use several Mailchimp plugins on multiple sites and had them all crippled last night — the WP dashboard would not load — during the DDoS attack on Mailchimp servers. Deactivating the MC plugins was the only solution. Please check whether there is an adequate timeout or way of failing gracefully if the MC server response is very slow or non-existent. FYI.
