    Hi,

I noticed a strange behaviour in the list view. I have an event that starts on dec 24th 2015 and ends on jan 6th 2016. In grid view all is displayed ok. In list view this event is missing: the first page of the list view shows all events before this missing event and the next page of the list view shows all after this (missing) event.

Now I setup the feed to show 500 events per page, so that I have only one page for my list-view: Now the missing event from dec. 24 2015 to jan 6th 2016 is also show!

    Questions:
    1) Do I make something wrong?
    2) Can anyone confirm this strange behaviour?
    3) Is there a workaround (without having only one huge page)?

    thanks

    Kurt

    Hi Fulvio,

    here is the link:

    http://www.trinko.eu/terminplan-201516/

the grid-view (side bar) works, there is an event starting on dec 24th shown

    Thanks Kurt

at the moment I’m not sure, but it may as well be some bug in how the bounds of the list calendar are calculated – you could try a different setting for the list or use an offset?

there’s an upcoming version with a different approach to this which will be more precise

Did an alternative setting for the list or an offset work out for you?

    Hi Fulvio!

custom dare range seems to work. (I will be watching this further)

    thanks

I’m having this same issue on version 2.4.0. I have an event that spans from 9-28 to 10-3, but on list view it shows the event 5 times labeled as “Event on September 28, 2015” instead of one for each day throughout the event.

It works perfectly in grid view.

    I see

there’s an upcoming version which has a different approach at handling lists – the fact they can have very different settings and flexibility makes the computation of ranges a bit trickier. But since this feature was already there, I did not want to scrap it for a fixed monthly list or something. So I rewrote that part and hopefully made it more reliable, but I don’t have enough feedback on this yet.

This new version is available as a beta, but really I don’t recommend to install it on live sites. If you have test/staging sites which you don’t mind running experiments on, it should be fine.

There are a few things changing in this version, not just list handling

ps in case you try the beta, it supports lists for an arbitrary span of time (days, weeks, months, or event number of events on each page). You can also control when the list begins (this month, this week, or today) – according to this setting the list will count days/weeks/months of the span from the start date

I am currently running the beta version on our test server. We are still having the issue that events that span multiple days cause the date banner to repeat however many days the event goes rather then showing the event for each day.

I’ve taken a screenshot to show you what i’m looking at.

alternatively when i try to use grid view on a calendar it smashes everything together vertically.

thanks in advance for everything you developers are doing. I’m very excited for the future of this plugin

for the grid with mangled cells, that’s a firefox issue, which I seem to have fixed but didn’t update the zip file

am aware too that the ‘expand multi day events’ setting is not working well – it’s a long explanation but in short it’s how the calendar is conceived and that feature doesn’t play well with it; want to improve that part but I think in order to not to push things pending forever might as well remove it until the calendar is more solid, code wise
